THE STEEL
It all begins with our careful attention to the metallurgical
content and quality of dies and roll-shells.
Because of its excellent hardness and wear resistance
properties, forged high chromium stainless steel is used to produce dies and
roll-shells. In addition, by using this type of metal dies corrosion no
longer occurs, and at the same time neither fats, molasses or other chemical
ingredients can effect the die which is of course impervious to rust.
The combination of the high standard material, the
processing method, and the experienced engineering team with total discipline
lead TSL-dies to yield more tonnage per hour and makes the most durable and
profitable dies in the world.
THE DRILLING PROCESS
In order to obtain mirror smooth inner surface of
the holes, TSL-dies are drilled by gun-drilling process. The gun-drilled
holes are cleaner and smoother; have no grooves and are far superior to the
holes drilled by any other method. The drilling in carried out by fully computerized control robots which
calculates the exact distance between each hole.
Consequently, the production of uniform hole spacing which contribute to
breakage resistance. The most important advantage of this drilling method is a
considerable increased capacity and while at the same time reduce the energy
consumption. (more tons per kilowatt)
HEAT TREATMENT PROCESS
Every TSL die is hardened in a vacuum
furnace. By using high purity nitrogen gas for quenching, it contribute to
the least distortion of the dies and greatly reduces the posibility of
small, hard carbon deposits and oxidation forming in the die holes. All the
dies are then further processed after hardening to improve toughness and
durability.
The vacuum heat treatment is one of the most advantage method in allowing
the dies to be highly wear resistance, evenwear and decreased friction, thus
resulting in longer dies life.
THE QUALITY
To assure the strictest adherence to
quality standards, TSL quality control starts at the raw material from
suppliers. Because of TSL quality standards are very high, we can not rely
only on quality control on finished products. All dies manufacturing
drilling, heat treatment and polishing operations are conducted in-house, so
that, we can rigidly control our standards and quality of our dies at every
step of the working process by our experienced engineering team.
